1 This term is the result of the direct translation for the Italian expression of ‘riserva indiana’. In this context, Rivolta refers to the peculiarity of the foreign constituency, highlighting how votes of Italians living abroad have been ‘segregated’ in a constituency that was artificially created in order to avoid any kind of contamination of votes. The author acknowledges that the expression can be misinterpreted but a fair translation of the concept that could express the same metaphoric and semantic concept has not been found. For this reason, a close translation of the interview has been provided.
